WHAT IS THE UNIVERSAL (HEALING) TAO?

The Universal Tao of Los Angeles is an affiliate of Mantak Chia’s Universal Healing Tao system of Chi Kung (internal energy skills). Personally trained by Mantak Chia, Dena Saxer, M.A., teaches these practices, adhering to his “classic” content. With him, she co-wrote 3 popular Taoist books, including their 2009 best–seller, EMOTIONAL WISDOM: Daily Tools for Transforming Anger, Depression, and Fear.

The Universal (Healing) Tao provides powerful ancient tools for self growth, transforming painful emotions and physical ailments into happiness, health, success, and inner peace. Its highest goal is independent spiritual evolvement. It is not a religion, but it can enhance any religion.

The tools of the Universal (Healing) Tao [UHT] are called Chi Kung or Qigong. Chi means life force energy, and kung means skills that deepen over time. The easy and accessible UHT skills can be learned and practiced by people of all ages and all physical conditions. They teach us how to refine and balance our chi, increase its strength, improve its circulation to all the cells of our body, and store excess chi safely. Regular practice of these skills dramatically improves every aspect of our lives.

The UHT practices are safe because they are grounded and graduated. The Basic foundation classes work with transforming troubling emotions, fortifying our internal organs, and balancing our yin and yang energies. Once this foundation is built, we move into healing, enhancing, and managing sexual energy. The sexual skills are for couples and singles; there is no physical contact or sex in class. The next level moves up to transforming emotions on a deeper level; this opens our hearts further and raises our spiritual vibration. Higher levels bring us ever closer to Tao, unconditional love, the Source, also known as God.

MANTAK CHIA, FOUNDER OF UNIVERSAL HEALING TAO

Chinese Taoist Mantak Chia is the leading teacher of Taoist arts in the Western world. Born in Thailand, he has devoted 45 years to bringing this ancient wisdom to the modern world in a clear and accessible manner. The author of dozens of Chi Kung books, Mantak Chia has taught hundreds of thousands of students on every continent. There are over 1200 Certified UHT Instructors worldwide. His home base is Tao Garden Resort and Health Spa in Thailand.

DENA SAXER, M.A., SENIOR INSTRUCTOR

Personally trained by Mantak Chia, Dena has been teaching UHT internationally since 1983. With him, she co-wrote Transform Stress into Vitality, Chi Self-Massage, and their latest, EMOTIONAL WISDOM: Daily Tools for Transforming Anger, Depression, and Fear (2009). In 1994, Mantak Chia honored her by naming her a Senior Instructor. Dena regards the UHT as a treasure for the world, and she teaches it with passion, clarity, and humor. She is a trained and experienced Dowser, specializing in Space Clearing: clearing non-beneficial energies and spirits from homes, offices, and properties. She is also a playwright and a lyricist and librettist of musicals.
